Over the last ten years, the inter-contamination between my artistic and architectural practices has brought me naturally to question the reciprocity between these disciplines. My work follows a creative process which systematically explores space and transforms environments. My interest consists in linking the views, tools and knowledge of both art and architecture through the creative practice and know-how of each discipline. I am fascinated by what each reveals in its own way of any given space.
The human body undergoes at all times a total immersion into reality. Phenomenological research on the human body's perception of its environment is the foundation of all my curatorial, artistic and architectural practices. I hold a particular interest in proportions, scales and contrasting depth of spaces. I explore these through my photography, occupy them by staging exhibitions and events or architecturally create them. I integrate and transform through my creative process the many facets of any environment, always addressing the latter not as fragments but as total qualities.
Captivated by the invisible characteristics of spaces, I have developed a rigorous procedure within a systematic approach : from the taking into account of multiple views to the editing by added layers. It is thus that I tend to create a spatial experience in order to make tangible the perception of space beyond a unique point of view : here the eye and body wanders within the space defined between accumulated strata.
Starting with my desire to realize a unique type of intervention and of spatial exploration, each of my works is a construction of new spaces of perception that takes into account at any moment reciprocities between environments, bodies and objects located therein as well as the perception that emanates from within.
By the use of glass, mirrors and their effects in my pieces, the spectator is caught between the work and the reflections within.
